In the past 12 weeks, I have been living at the Dev Bala Organic Family Farm. My time here has been fruitful as days were spent working on the land from planting and harvesting various crops to taking care of the cows which produce the milk for our meals and provide the fertilizer to continue the farm to table cycle. The land sits below the mountains in which we receive a steady supply of water where channels are made to allow the crops to flourish. The harmonious balance of the complexity of nature in practice can be applied with such simplicity.

During my stay, I was able to experience what living in a village is like and often returned from occasional visits to the town on the mountain with the feeling of returning home. While taking in all the experiences throughout my stay, evenings were often spent continuing to learn about how to support the well being of others through my studies in herbal medicine.

While I became comfortably at home here at the farm, my time here felt like it was coming to a close and rather than choosing to stay within the security of familiarity, I left this morning as I decided to continue to move forward with new opportunities and experiences. While still early into my travels, I am learning to embrace the feelings of uncertainty which can often prevent our own growth.

Thanks to all those who have been following me along my travels and look forward to sharing whatever may happen next!
