Kiva Ceremony at Kumbh Mela

Yesterday morning, I woke up cold and shivering. I tried to just fall back asleep but i wasn't comfortable enough to. I decided to get up as I knew there would be an early morning traditional native American sweatlodge ceremony. Being around familiar communities of people and medicine songs from various cultures brought me joy, comfort, and warmth. During the ceremony, I reaffirmed the things I wanted to have let go and washed away here at Kumbh mela as millions of people have come here to do. After the ceremony, I went to the river to participate in this holy bathe. My intentions for this bathe was to shed self limiting beliefs, fears of uncertainty about life (both far and near future), and all else from the life behind me which no longer serves me in moving forward. Shortly after this ritual bathe, I walked over to a gathering nearby where elders, healers and community leaders from various indigenous cultures displayed an act of solidarity and unionship. It was a beautiful gathering to be present for as I reflected on how the work from these such people have led to my own personal journey and current path. I am thankful for these humans throughout the world. I am feeling ready to continue and move forward now.
